Retreat FAQ's
What does the price of the retreat include?
You will get 4 feet of table space, a t-shirt, a goody bag (~ a $50 value!), 6 meals (Friday - Dinner, Saturday - *Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner, Sunday - *Breakfast & Lunch), snacks & drinks, a group photo, a LARGE room full of creativity, fun and fellowship, and your room for two nights (unless you are not staying at the hotel). *Breakfast is only available to those staying at the hotel.
Can I make special requests?
If you need special accommodations (handicap room, etc), please make sure you tell us in the section below. If you are just making a personal request such as please put me near a wall, plug in, door, etc. those requests will be fulfilled in the order that we receive payment in full.
Can I sit near my friends?
If you are sharing a room, we will put you at a table with your roommate. You can list below the people you would like to sit near. If you are not sharing a room or don't have a room, you may request a 'table mate' or take a potluck neighbor and make a new friend! If you have a group of people you would like to sit near, list them below. Again, all requests will be fulfilled in the order that we receive payment in full.
What are some items I should be sure to bring?
We have been to many retreats ourselves and know that personal comfort is important. Having said that, there are some things you will not have control over. Room temperature is one of those things....we will have to make the majority happy. If you tend to be HOT, consider bringing a small desk fan. If you tend to be COLD, consider bringing a small blanket. Some people in the past have brought their own desk chairs or at least a small pillow for back support. Some people have stayed in their pj's and houseshoes the whole weekend. Most people bring a desk lamp. You will probably need an extension cord if you have electronics and might consider a power strip if you have multiple electronics. Make sure you get here with all of the cords that belong to your electronics. :) Be sure to bring headphones if you want to listen to music. You can bring a side table about the size of a TV tray if you wish. Most importantly, bring a smile and your creativity!
